Sundays are for long drives in the countryside.

Yesterday we took a look at the leaves and their falling colour

lobster_trapswith a few lobster traps and bails,

boata fishing boat put up for the Winter.

donkeywe found a couple of these looking back.

We stopped at Dunes Cafe for a short little peek.

We continued on through Brackley Beach

 The fishing shacks all stood empty and the boats were all stopped.

We crossed the causeway to our next little stop.

Dalvey_lighhouse

This is the lighthouse at Dalvay.

Dalvay_Inn

At Dalvay Inn the windows are covered and there’s not a soul in site.

 Where the sand meets the sky at Brackley Beach.

 We take the road to Avonlea with all her colours so bright.

 A windmill spins around in the wind.

 I sure would love to craft with the barn board on this barn.

 Cross the causeway at Oyster Bed Bridge.

 A stop off at St. Augustine’s Church. Built in 1838.

Barachois_Inn

 A wave to Judy at the Barachois Inn.  Do you see the white building out behind Judy’s home?

It is the Congregation of Our Lady Convent.  Built in 1881.

tumbes_cornerThen we rounded Tummbs corner, that’s such a lovely spot.

Over the hills to North Rustico until we come to a stop.

At  “By the Bay” Restaurant where we met Tabitha, Sydney and Matthew for lunch.

I hope you enjoyed my Sunday and your arm chair travel through the countryside of Prince Edward Island and viewing some of my favourite spots.
