Scrapbooking Archives - Page 2 of 9 - Trails of Hats'n Hospitalitea

I’m all about being frugal when I’m scrapbooking.  I’ll go out of my way to make a product that a large company sells when I’m looking for embellishments instead of spending a lot of money on a purchase. However like any scrapbooker, I’ll be the first to admit I have more paper than I have shoes, clothes,  and pocket purses – paper is my thing and there is a lot of uses for it.

PEI altered book

This is a couple of altered books I just finished. Paper and cardboard, need I say more.  I made 4″ letters of PEI covered them front and back in paper, cut cardboard to make the picture framing area and put the letters on the end.  This took a little scootching of the letters to find just the right spot so the letters would fit nicely.

binding the book

Then a jog (in the car) to a local friend and fellow scrapbooker who has the binding machine and voila, a PEI altered book.

Got to run, I’m behind on my morning and missing my walking club.

I’m in my element when I’m working with paper.  I think to be a frugal scrapbooker these days you have to use more paper and less embellishments of the costly kind.

6 tags of PEI

These 3″ by 4″ tags are all about Anne of Green Gables.  Even though I put them together in a booklet held with a ring I have been told by most other scrapbooker’s who visit the Island Made Gift Shop that they take them apart and use them on their Island page layouts.  There are 6 tags starting with about L.M. Montgomery, Green Gables House, Anne of Green Gables novel, Birthplace, Homestead, and the Green Gables Museum.

Anne tag booklet

Bagged, tagged and ready to go.  When you are out and about remember that the PEI logo with the Anne Made in PEI are licences products for the Island.

Thanks for stopping by,
