GrandmaThe Newest of the Royals will be visiting Canada and plan to be in P.E.I. during the first week of July. The Department of Tourism has asked around for specials and events during the Royal visit. Here are some of the special events being offered on the Tourism Website.

Grandma wants to celebrate, so lets do tea.
The special Event will be a Royal-Tea

William and KateAfter CBC called and asked, “What kind of day would it be at Grandma’s if the Royals came to Grandma’s for Tea.”
It was then that I started to polish the silver and take out my best linens (I’m sewing daily to get the white table cloths, Royal Blue toppers and Royal Red place mats done)

So although, extremely exhausted from excitement the Royal visit and Tea will continue with our guests gathering at Grandma’s Afternoon Tea Room in celebration of the Royal Visit by taking a Royal Tea the duration of July 1st to July 9th.

Hello my friends,

Braxton sunning It is no secret that the Island has had plenty of rain over the last while.  Well we might have broken through the trend seems we have had a few days without rain now, however it is looking very grey  this am.  As the summer approaches the blogs get shorter and further apart that is all part of being in the tourism business.

Today we have ladies coming from Nova Scotia for High tea, the preparation has  started and they are expected to arrive at 1pm.  I have been up baking early this am and soon I’ll start sandwiches.  I made a date square and cocoa mocha cake, along with some itty bitty butter tarts and lemon square as it is everyone’s favourite.

A short trip out to the Fabric outlet promises new white table linen, royal blue table toppers, and royal red place mats.  Yes, Grandma is having a Royal Tea, in celebration of the Royal Visit.  I’m so excited about it and there will be more to come later.

Here is a wee peek a friend of mine blogged about,
